CHICAGO—Toyota added another special edition trim to its truck and SUV lines when it introduced the 2021 4Runner, Tacoma, and Trail editions at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show. As its name implies, the Trail trim emphasizes the vehicles' outdoor-oriented mission. Using the mid-grade SR5 trim as a base, the Trail includes items such as black exterior badges, all-weather floor mats, and black seats with tan stitching.

Less than a year after beginning production on the revived Supra, Toyota may already be working on a high-performance GRMN version if a new report out of Japan is to be believed. According to Best Car Web, a 'roided-up Supra will drop sometime in the next two years rocking a turbocharged, 3.0-liter straight-six producing close to 400 horsepower.
For reference sake, the Supra we have now officially puts out 335 horses, a figure widely understood to be conservative because when Car and Driver strapped it to a dyno last May,

Last Friday, Toyota made a big announcement regarding the production of several of its most popular models. First up is the Toyota Tacoma, which will cease production at the automaker's San Antonio, Texas production plant by late 2021. Instead, the majority of future Tacoma production will take place in Mexico. Why the change? Because Toyota Sequoia production is shifting from the company's plant in Princeton, Indiana to Texas, which has built the Tacoma and Tundra pickup trucks since 2010.

It sold well in December, besting its smaller coupe brother.

Toyota Motor North America has released its December 2019 and year-end sales report. The Japanese brand was able to sell a total of 2,383,349 vehicles. Despite the number, the marque suffered a 1.8 percent decrease in sales versus 2018's numbers, both in volume and daily selling rate basis.
